This pre-formatted InDesign file is intended for use by someone with beginner-level skills with InDesign and is self-publishing their novel/book.  It allows you to paste in your novel and have it be laid out in a format that can be exported to pdf and sent to a printer, or packaged and sent to a printing company. The margins are set up and there are basic instructions for use. This is a variation on a file I created to publish my novel People of the Rock. Note, it does not include a cover design, which would be a separate file anyhow. My intention is that if you use it as directed, you will be able to have a basic and attractive layout for your novel. You can of course use it as a basic skeleton on which to design your own layout.
Note:Â You will need to have your own subscription to InDesign to use this file, and your version should be 2025 or later.
