This project involved redesigning a decade-old website that had been built with a now-obsolete site-builder while preserving its excellent search engine optimization values. I love how fast and clean it is now. Note: this site is online-purchase capable, but the company doesn’t want to do that yet, so it is currently used to showcase their inventory of hundreds of products.
The challenge with this type of project is understanding how to convert the data format and clean out any obsolete codes, while preserving the content and what works (the excellent SEO). I also cleaned up and simplified the navigation to make it more customer-centred, again without deleting any pages and so preserving SEO. This project included importing hundreds of products and their associated images, and resulted in a lightning fast brand update on a clean installation on a new server. I incorporated a rebrand (colour and logo change) at the same time to facilitate tightening marketing focus.
