Cyber Security for Clinical Counsellors - All New for 2026!
A one hour video version of the live course with additional resources provides cyber security training and policies for your counselling practice or health practitioner practice. This training is designed to fulfil the requirements of cyber security liability insurance and Canadian and BC law.
It provides guidance and training on PIPEDA and PIPA compliant cybersecurity practices for your business email, phones, computers and website. It was developed specifically for clinical counsellors, but is equally useful for other physical and mental health workers in private practice such as massage therapists, chiropractors and physiotherapists.
Note: In cyber security, it is important to stay up to date, so I completely redesign this course at least yearly. Your access to this course is for one year. After that, you can refresh your access to the latest content by repurchasing.
Taught by Sophia Kelly, an IT and web consultant with 25 years of experience helping non-profits and businesses do good things better online. She has been providing user support and training, programming, design and management services to organizations since 2000. Sophia has a pragmatic, easy to understand training style that centres individual learning needs, and uses non-specialist language whenever possible. Sophia has also trained professionally as an Art Therapist (DVATI). She no longer practices, but is very familiar with industry practices and standards.
